Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North invite you to attend a workshop designed specifically for tourism businesses on how to master digital storytelling, and leverage the Clare Valley Regional Brand.


Who will be running the Workshop?

Paige and Rebecca from Tourism eSchool are two passionate tourism marketers, who have worked in the industry for 27+ years combined. They've worked extensively in international & destination marketing, and as tourism marketing trainers and facilitators. They've worked with hundreds of tourism businesses during recent years, training them on marketing strategy development, product development, trade marketing and online marketing and implementation.

What will the Workshop Cover?

The 5-hour workshop would be broken down into the following topic areas, with action orientated tasks throughout the session so you can start applying your learnings.

Marketing Strategy + Product Experience

  • Briefing on visitor insights and trends and how it impacts the purchase journey for potential visitors
  • How to develop an exceptional experience to drive advocacy (most trusted form of advertising)
  • Identify and profile high yield visitor personas to provide strategic focus for marketing initiatives (based on Clare Valley Tourism Region’s high yield visitor personas)

Storytelling (Social Media + Blogging)

  • Learn practical tips to increase the engagement and reach of social media posts
  • Understand the critical role a blog has on building a brands online visibility in search engine results
  • Learn how to interpret the Clare Valley brand and use it as a base to develop stories for use in social media and blogging
  • Understand the reality of the social media landscape and strategies to build engaged online communities
  • Understand how to collect and curate visitor content (photos/videos) using hashtags, and learn how to amplify social media posts by leveraging online influencers
  • Learn how to craft compelling blog articles that are engaging for Visitor Personas, and that build a sustainable base of Clare Valley stories online that are aligned with the CV Brand.
  • Learn about search engine optimisation, and how to improve a brand’s visibility in search engine result pages by optimising blog articles for Visitor Persona micro-moments.

Customer Advocacy + Online Reputation Management

  • Understand the critical importance of managing a business’s reputation online and how it can make or break a business
  • Learn how to ensure tourism brands are is showing up in relevant local based searches and apps, specifically Google Maps, Google Search, TripAdvisor, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Learn a framework of how to respond to customer feedback on social media, TripAdvisor and other review websites. Learn specifically of how to turn an unhappy customer into an advocate.

Paige and Rebecca will also offer mentoring for all workshop participants via a private Facebook Group, which is a space to ask questions and offer your support to other participants.

The workshop is Free, and is open to all Tourism Businesses in the Clare Valley Tourism Region. There are a maximum of 15 businesses for the workshop, so please register today to secure your spot!
