Inspirations for 2022
Event Information
About this event
The next instalment of our YMP Perth sit down dinner event is here!
We have designed this event with a more personal networking experience in mind, with opportunities to meet different members across the course of the dinner. Tickets are VERY limited.
Laura Allen has kindly agreed to be the keynote speaker at our kick-starter event for the year “Inspirations for 2022” to share some of her career journey to date, with anecdotes that are sure to make you smile. A talented professional from the mining sector who started on the tools as an electrical apprentice, having worked offshore and onsite and growing into leadership roles as she has developed her career, much of her experience is sure to resonate with our members.
Laura is a talented and passionate female tradesperson with an infectious personality and over 10 years of experience working offshore. In 2015 she became Woodside’s first female Responsible Person Electrical, moving to an Operations leadership role in 2018, completing a number of overseas assignments and leading a diverse and multicultural team. In 2020, Laura was seconded for 18 months as the General Manager Operations, and in 2021 was awarded CME's Women in Resources award in the Outstanding Operator/Technician/Trade Woman in Resources category. Laura is currently back on site as the Operations Team leader for the Pluto LNG plant in Karratha.
