Description

Ven. Vimokkha returns to Canberra from Thailand again for a meditation on “Intuitive Awareness”.

A pragmatic approach to the nature of mind will be demonstrated by Ven. Dr. Vimokkha. Ajarn Vimmokha will show how to go inwards in the practice of Samatha and Vipassana and thus to develop clear knowing and seeing into the nature of mind.

About the teacher:

Ajahn Vimokkha is the abbot of Pippaliwanaram Forest Monastery, Rayong, Thailand. He obtained his M.A. Buddhist studies and Ph.D. Buddhist studies from Mahachulalongkorn University. He has extensive experience of teaching insight meditation and has been engaged by numerous organizations both in Thailand including Dhammasathan Chulalongkorn university and abroad such as Buddhist associations in Kuala Lumpur, Penang associations in Kuala Lampur, Penang and Singapore. Ven. Vimokkha’s book, “The Development of Mindfulness for Insight Meditation” builds on his pragmatic approach to the development of mindfulness.
