Music Films presents a 1 day Professional Development Seminar for Teachers

With talks and workshops led by award-winning filmmakers, respected music educators and recorder virtuosi, "An Insight into Music, Film and the Recorder" assists teachers to stimulate their classroom teaching and extend capacity for engaged learning.

Sessions are either 60 and 90 minutes in length and we invite you to create your own schedule over the day. The duration of the seminar is 6 contact hours in total.

Session 1: Making films about music with Director Bob Connolly

Session 2: Visualising the experience of making music in Recorder Queen with Sophie Raymond

Session 3: Taking Flight with recorder virtuoso Genevieve Lacey

Session 4: Free Thinking and Composition with Karen Carey and guest player Genevieve Lacey

Session 5: Using the Recorder as a Tool of Mass Instruction! with Susan Sukkar and guest player Genevieve Lacey

Session 6: Crafting Narrative with Music and Character with Bob Connolly and Sophie Raymond

Australian Professional Standards for Teachers :Completing this course will contribute 6 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
