About this Event
Join us on Thursday 11 March from 6-8pm in the Fenner Courtyard at Kambri for the launch of INSIGHT OUT, a one-of-a-kind group show that experiments with the communication of ideas via the medium of art.
INSIGHT OUT combines the creativity of 24 students from the ANU School of Art & Design with current world-renowned research by pairing each student with an academic undertaking research at one of the University’s seven academic Colleges.
Each pair met at length to discuss the academic’s research and consider ways in which the most vital elements of the work could be conveyed to the general public.
The resulting artworks are captivating, and traverse a range of disciplines such as painting, illustration, photography, and digital art, as well as a broad range of topics including memory and truth, heritage rock art, the mechanics of the human knee, blockchain, stillbirth, solar cells, global health and infectious diseases, and artificial intelligence, to name a few.
The launch event will feature complimentary drinks from Capital Brewing and Lerida Wines plus live music from a Vessel Collective DJ.
This incredible exhibition is presented by Kambri at ANU, in partnership with ANU Learning Communities and aMBUSH Gallery.
INSIGHT OUT will be on display free of charge at Exhibition Avenue – 24 hours, 7 days a week – until Friday, 7 May 2021.
