Innovation Taskforce WA
Date and time
Description
Please Join us for another meeting of the
Innovation Taskforce WA
Hosted by:
Andrew McCluskey, WA Regional Manager, Siemens Ltd
Chaired by:
Professor Peter Klinken, Chief Scientist of Western Australia
The purpose of the Innovation Taskforce is to establish Western Australia as a true State of Innovation by fostering collaboration between key stakeholders, helping to gain better understanding of innovation in WA, identifying new initiatives and developing a road-map to implement new innovation ideas. In addition, the Taskforce will advance innovation by highlighting potential barriers to change, and engaging with Government to assist in removing and overcoming obstacles.
Following the inaugural Taskforce meeting, a moving-forward action would be to create four Working Groups each allocated a specific series of tasks.
The tasks would cover the priorities for the State as discussed at the conclusion of the inaugural meeting:
1. Education Co-ordination, Collaboration, Communication
2. Narrative
3. Leadership, Promotion of WA, Measurement
4. Facilities, Specialised Incubator Sites
Each Working Group would meet separately to determine their goals and to devise an action strategy and a timeline to reach these goals which would then be presented and synchronised at the following Taskforce meeting.
We are looking forward to your active participation.
