We know that innovation is a key driver of productivity. Innovation doubles the likelihood of productivity growth in Australian firms.

We are investing in business innovation by encouraging research and development and commercialisation though a number of programs and initiatives.

This session will feature presentations from the Queensland Government Townsville Advanced Manufacturing Hub, AusIndustry programs including: R&D Tax Incentive, Accelerating Commercialisation and Innovation Connections; and James Cook University.

You will also hear the experiences of local businesses who have created and adopted innovations in their manufacturing businesses.
