Event description

Description

The hydrogen industry is receiving unprecedented levels of interest driven by its ability to decarbonise gas, electricity and transport whilst maintaining stable and secure supply. Australia is well positioned to maximise the benefits of hydrogen, however industry, government and researchers must come together to ensure we maximise the likely substantial benefits from the development of a hydrogen economy.

This event brings together key hydrogen industry stakeholders to discuss how we can accelerate the development of the hydrogen economy in Australia. It also provides an opportunity to hear from and speak with internationally recognised hydrogen expert, Dan Sadler, who is leading the exciting Leeds H21 project to convert the entire city of Leeds to 100% hydrogen.

Like the hydrogen industry in general, the Leeds H21 project is progressing at a rapid rate, including through recent commitment to both an upstream and downstream safety case for 100% hydrogen networks. Dan will share his experience on this project as well as providing his insight into the international momentum of hydrogen networks. These learnings will prove invaluable to both the UK and international, including Australian, industries.
