Event Details

This session will explore the Health and Personal and Social Capability Curriculum, including how teaching about respectful relationships links the Victorian Curriculum. Why teach about respectful relationships and the research that underpins it. The session will recommend resources to help schools explicitly teach and assess this part of the Victorian Curriculum. This session will include:

  • An overview of the curriculum structure
  • Introduction to the Health and Personal and Social Capability areas of the Victorian Curriculum
  • What is respectful relationships and how it relates to the Victorian Curriculum?
  • Importance of a whole school approach
  • Strategies for explicit teaching and assessment
  • Planning for implementation
    • Relationship to other curriculum areas
    • Progressing learning
    • Whole school planning
  • Resources for teaching and assessment

Please note places are limited to 2 people per school. P-12 schools can send up to 4 teachers.
