VCE English 3&4

  • Exam study advice for all aspects of the VCE English examination with a specific focus on Section C of the exam – Argument and Persuasive Language. Separate EAL session are available for this part of the day
  • A sample practice English exam and A+ model responses for all three parts of this exam

Presenter

Ms Kirstin Bourne is a Senior Education Consultant for InformEd and works closely with a range of schools to help them to improve their English teaching and planning. Kirstin has an English degree from Cambridge University and before setting up her consultancy, she was the Head of Curriculum at one of the top academic independent schools in Victoria. Kirstin has taught VCE English and Literature to students who have achieved scores of 50 and she has also taught students who have received a Premier’s Award in English. Kirstin is an experienced VCE English examiner.

VCE Mathematical Methods 3&4

  • Exam and study hints for Exam 1 and Exam 2
  • Students will sit a fully assessed mock exam for VCE Mathematical Methods

Dr David Treeby is a senior mathematics teacher at a top academic independent school and is a contributing author for the Essential Mathematics series, used by most leading schools. David has extensive experience teaching, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Higher Level International Baccalaureate mathematics, and Melbourne University Enhancement mathematics. David has taught numerous students who have achieved 50 in VCE Mathematical Methods.

VCE Psychology 3&4

  • Strategies for responding to exam-based scenarios, particularly the extended answer question
  • Coverage of the traditional areas of weakness that have been heavily examined in recent years

Presenter

Mr Andrew Scott is an innovated VCE Psychology teacher with over 10 years of experience as a VCE assessor who has taught multiple students that have achieved a study score of 50. He has created an array of freely available online resources designed to enhance the understanding of VCE Psychology students, notably his Psyccounting YouTube videos that have had over 1,000,000 views. Andrew has presented numerous exam revision lectures for a range of external providers and thus has a keen insight in providing key tips for students to assist with their examination preparation.
