ANZAPPL (Victoria) and APS College of Forensic Psychologists (Victoria)

invite all to a Twilight Soiree on

Information Sharing Reforms in Victoria:

Working with Children and Family Violence

There are two key areas of current reform regarding changes to information sharing that have ramifications for service providers. The reforms propose to amend the law to allow freer exchange of information between organisations and workforces. These changes are relevant for people who work with victims and perpetrators of family violence and services that work with children.

Representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) will be providing an overview of the Information Sharing reforms, discussing the proposed changes and implementation roll-out, and the implications of these changes for particularly for psychologists and psychiatrists working for organisations and for those in private practice. Time will be then be provided for questions and consultation.

By the end of the soiree, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the upcoming legislative changes
  • Assess the impact of the changes on their own practice
  • Consider the implications of the changes on their record keeping, ethical guidelines and AHPRA requirements.

Please note: The APS College of Forensic Psychologists (Victoria) will be hosting their AGM immediately prior to the presentation. All members are welcome to attend.
