CMA Consulting Group's two-day Influence in the Workplace program looks at influence as a skill that can be sharpened with the right tools and practice. This workshop empowers you to skilfully take the lead in influencing conversations. You will learn about the key sources of influence, strategies for preparing for and leading conversations, and how to build and manage relationships of influence.

We shift participants’ mindset from sales-pitching, to thoughtful persuasive communication and effective relationship management. Influence is not just about changing actions. Through tools and practice, we help individuals change people’s thinking and decision-making, network effectively, create strategic stakeholder maps, and build lasting professional relationships

Learning Outcomes

As a participant in our Influence training workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

  • learn robust, flexible, research-based frameworks and strategies from one of our experienced consultants
  • analyse the strengths and weaknesses of different influencing approaches and know how to choose the approach that is best suited to your objectives
  • use a structured framework to prepare comprehensively for an influencing conversation
  • learn how to deal with resistance to your ideas and initiatives
  • learn a simple, powerful framework for structuring your influencing conversations to maximise your persuasive impact
  • practice new skills and receive feedback on how to improve your performance
  • apply the frameworks and strategies to your real-life challenges
  • share insights with your peers in other industries, organisations and roles
  • plan the next steps for developing your skills beyond the workshop
  • build your confidence to initiate and manage influencing conversations

After the Workshop

At CMA we aim to support you in practicing the skills that you’ve developed. To do this, you will receive:
  • Resources – hard and electronic copies of the templates used in the workshop.
  • Reminders – we’ll send you email reminders of key strategies and tips, so that you can keep them top of mind.
  • E-Coaching – CMA Alumni receive access to free e-coaching for the 12 months following the workshop.

Full refund of the ticket price will be available up until 7 days before commencement of workshop. No refunds will be given to participants who fail to attend the workshop or cancel registration 7 days prior to commencement of workshop. CMA Learning Group reserves the right to decline subsequent requests of deferral and to retain payment. If circumstances arise requiring CMA Learning Group to cancel this workshop, CMA Learning Group will refund your registration fee but will not be responsible for any consequential loss or inconvenience.
