Event description
An open studio during Dean Walsh's residency at Critical Path (The Drill Hall).

About this Event

Choreographer, performer, educator and movement researcher, Dean Walsh’s latest production, Infinite Item, is his largest scale work focusing on environmental themes, since he began his research into this thematic base in 2007. This work has had several, quite diverse, incarnations across nearly ten years; from choreographic research points as part of a few Critical Path Residencies between 2006 and 2013, a 3-day durational performance installation at Performance Space in 2014 and its first staged realisation, then called Threshold: NRC, in 2018 at PACT as part of their AfterGlow: Generations program.

As part of his 2 week residency that Dean will hold two Open Studio sessions (practicing social distancing) for up to 6 people at a time, with 20 people able to Zoom in to look in at what he and his team are doing as they finalise the many details of this production, and to ask questions about the work and the points of collaborative adaptation - honing in on a more seamless choreographic communication of such a topical issues for us all.

Please nominate whether or not you'd prefer to be in person at 1c New Beach Road Darling Point or Zoom.
