DELIBERATIVE WORKSHOP: 2.00 PM – 4.30 PM, FRIDAY 20 OCTOBER, 2017

INEXPENSIVE, RELIABLE AND CLEAN: HOW QUEENSLAND’S ELECTRICITY SUPPLY CAN HAVE IT ALL

The Royal Society of Queensland and the TJ Ryan Foundation are pleased to co-host a workshop to examine the emerging future in this field, in consultation with the Department of Energy and Water Supply.

Reconvening after the Lunchtime Forum, the workshop will first hear two short presentations on Queensland’s potential to go renewable, then will be invited to critique a set of Guiding Principles and Recommendations arising from a previous workshop on 8 September, 2017. The findings of the workshop will form the basis of a submission to the Queensland Government.

Refreshments will be served

Attendees are encouraged to also attend the preceeding Lunchtime Forum presented by Dr Matthew Stocks.

Both sessions are open to the public but will particularly suit public servants, business, scholarly experts and civil society engaged in policy formulation. Chatham House rules (no attribution of comments) will apply.

Both events are free. The two events are self-contained and separate registrations are requested. Attendees are requested to register for either or both for catering and venue management purposes.
