Description

Come join us for drinks, pizza and lively conversation on the state of indy theatre in NSW.

This time we are focusing our whole session on the art of theatre-making. On invention, innovation, and managing the hire-wire act of taking risks and bringing your audience along with you. We'll be joined by special guests Leticia Caceres, Fraser Corfield and Suzanne Millar

It's FREE but please book as there are limited places.

About our special guests
LETICIA CACERES has been lauded as one of the most exciting directing talents in the country. She directed The Drovers Wife at Belvoir, which won her a Helpmann Award & Sydney Theatre Award for best direction of a mainstage production. She is co-founder of independent theatre company RealTV with Angela Betzien. Her other directing credits include Death & The Maiden (STC/MTC), The Effect (MTC), Mortido (STCSA/Belvoir), and The Dark Room (RealTV/Belvoir). Leticia is currently directing Barbara and the Camp Dogs for Belvoir.

FRASER CORFIELD is the Artistic Director of ATYP. He has been Artistic Director of Backbone Youth Arts and Riverland Youth Theatre, and Associate Director of La Boite. He has directed over 30 productions for professional, independent and youth theatre companies across the country. For ATYP he has directed The Big Dry, Sugarland (with David Page), M Rock, A Town Named War Boy and The Tender Age.

SUZANNE MILLAR is Co-Artistic Director of bAKEHOUSE. Her recent directing credits for bAKEHOUSE include Jatinga, The Laden Table, Black Jesus, The Ishmael Club and His Mother’s Voice. Suzanne is the founder and facilitator of bACE Mumbai, established in 2014, working with award winning NGO Apne Aap Women’s Collective to establish an arts program in Kamathipura, and to build an artist’s exchange between Sydney & Mumbai.
