Event description

Description

You are invited to the official opening of the Industry Mentoring Network in STEM (IMNIS) Program in Western Australia. This is a great opportunity to connect with other IMNIS mentees, mentors and invited guests!

IMNIS is a prestigious award-winning initiative of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE). Recognised with a BHERT Award in 2016, IMNIS connects PhD students in STEM with high level industry leaders in a national mentoring program. Students increasetheir understanding of industry, learn about career options and extend their professional network.

IMNIS will develop a new generation of industry-savvy PhD graduates who can engage with industry, kick-start collaborations and transition between sectors. ATSE gratefully acknowledges funding from industry growth centres METS Ignited and NERA to kick-start pilot programs in Minerals Resources and Energy Resources in several states around Australia, including Western Australia. Support from our sponsor KPMG Australia is also greatly appreciated.

The Hon. Dave Kelly MLA, Minister for Water, Fisheries, Forestry, Innovation and ICT and Science will officially open the IMNIS Program on Thursday, 10th August at 7.30am at KPMG Australia, 235 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000. The event concludes at 9.00am.
