Event description
Hear about how continuing airworthiness and maintenance requirements will align with the new flight operations rules.

About this Event

Public consultation on our proposed policy changes to continuing airworthiness management and maintenance for future air transport operations will open on 22 November 2019.

To ensure compatibility with the flight operations regulations new risk-based framework and proportionate requirements of continuing airworthiness across air transport operations, there will be adjustments made to the continuing airworthiness requirements. The proposed policy changes would ensure smooth transition into and alignment with the flight operations rules commencing March 2021.

In response to industry feedback, CASA has commissioned an independent risk review of the passenger limits of Parts 135 and 121 of CASR. We will, in consultation with industry, assess the outcomes of that review to determine any impact on the policies proposed in this consultation.

To raise awareness of the proposed policy change CASA is conducting a series of industry briefings over a two-week period commencing 2 December 2019. The briefings will provide air operators and maintenance organisations with a better understanding of the proposed changes.

This is a great opportunity for you to hear firsthand the latest on the proposed policy from our experts and to ask questions about what the changes mean for you.

Spread the word and encourage your aviation colleagues to be part of the conversation and register today.

Registrations close 28 November 2019.
