Individual Research Plans: Advice for Mentors (Melbourne Campus)
Thu. 10 November 2016, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm AEDT
THIS SESSION IS FOR LA TROBE STAFF AND STUDENTS ONLY
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
In 2016, La Trobe University adopted a research planning process aimed at enhancing the work of La Trobe researchers. The Individual Research Plan is a developmental tool designed to help you focus your research activities and ambitions, and to help you plan for your medium-term research needs. This 1-hour workshop provides an introduction to the research planning process, with a particular focus on how mentors can support mentees through the research planning process.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
This session provides managers and supervisors (especially Career Success Advisors) with an introduction to the Individual Research Plan process, with the aim of supporting them in their advisory and mentoring roles.
This session is intended for anyone who currently has line management, mentoring or other supervisory responsibility for research active academic staff.
