Event description

Description

Indigenous people are significantly impacted by non-communicable diseases. We invite you to hear from a panel of Indigenous experts and others and join us to workshop ideas on addressing the global burden of Indigenous NCDs.

Indigenous issues are not on the global agenda. Indigenous peoples have unique tools and resources to offer the global public health approach to wellbeing and planetary health. SDGS and their reporting mechanisms can be used to address the health inequities continuously faced by Indigenous peoples.

Speakers

Adrian Te Patu

World Federation of Public Health Associations, Governing Body

Laetitia Rispel

World Federation of Public Health Associations, President

Patrick Mwesigye

Ugandan Youth and Adolescent Health Forum

The event will be live streamed. For the live stream details please email IHWG@WFPHA.org.
