Lisa Astell ~ Clinical Nurse Consultant, Continence & Urology

Lisa began her nursing career at the North-West Regional Hospital in Burnie, Tasmania. After graduating, she spent five years in London where she discovered her passion for urology, specialising at renowned Urological Centre, St Peters Hospital.

Returning to Tasmania, she began working at the Royal Hobart Hospital on the urology ward where she discovered her passion for teaching. Lisa then became a clinical teacher, lecturing nursing students for the University of Tasmania (UTAS). After nine years of teaching and a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Clinical Nursing (Urology) later, she moved into her current role as a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Continence and Urology. The service has since been expanded from a Continence Nurse Advisor position to offer services to both in and out-patients across the entire specialty.

Georgia Rossetto ~ Accredited Practising Dietitian

Georgia is an experienced private practice dietitian based in Launceston. Through her companies Launceston Dietetics and Nutrition Solutions Tasmania she helps both individuals and organisations improve their nutrition and eat in a way that fosters enjoyment and good health. Georgia is passionate about getting back to the basics with food and eating, using body cues to guide intake and steering well away from fad diets and the latest crazes. She believes in good food and nutrition from infancy right through to end-of-life.

Victoria Cullen ~ Sexual Function Specialist

Victoria Cullen is a PHD researcher, intimacy consultant and professional speaker. Victoria is passionate about helping people tackle important topics related to quality of life, such as sexual wellbeing and intimacy. She runs a private practice specialising in sexual re-navigation for people who are managing physiological changes. Her PHD research at RMIT University focuses on designing solutions for sexual challenges after prostate cancer treatment.

Lisa Banfield - Physiotherapist

Lisa has worked extensively in private practice, community health centres and public hospitals, accumulating a wealth of experience including women’s and men’s health.Lisa has worked as a childbirth educator and women’s health physiotherapist in Sydney and Launceston in both the public and private sectors.Lisa has a special interest in erectile dysfunction and women’s sexual dysfunction. She currently enthusiastically provides Physiofit’s incontinence, prolapse and men’s and women’s sexual dysfunction services.

When not working Lisa is raising two teenage boys, growing vegetables and threatening to cook for her staff.

Philip Tan ~ Urologist

Mr Philip Tan is an urologist with sub-specialty interests in advanced laparoscopic surgery and minimally invasive laser stone treatment.

Philip undertook his fellowship training at Melbourne’s Western Hospital, specialising in advanced laparoscopic surgery including laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic pyeloplasty. He later undertook full-time research in 2009 based in the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and Austin Health in the treatment of advance renal cancer.

Throughout his training, Philip spent six months in Burnie in 2011 and a year in Launceston in 2014, returning three years later to provide a comprehensive urological service to the local community.

Juliet Scott ~ Clinical Nurse Consultant/Endorsed Nuse Practitioner Wound Management

Juliet Scott is an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner with a wealth of experience in the specialty of Wound Management and is also qualified in Dermatology and Lymphoedema management. Juliet is dedicated to improving wound outcomes through a commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring clinical practice is evidence based patient-centred and outcomes focused, and translating this into every day practice for clients and clinicians. Juliet ‘s other interests are preventative health and chronic disease management and vascular health.

Juliet is involved at both a state, national, international level on several working and reference groups in the development of guidelines and Standards for Wound Management, has held executive positions at both state and national level. Inaugural /current state representative to the ANZSVN. Inaugural member of Tasmanian Wound Association (now Wounds Australia); presented widely; co convened multiple conferences. Past Chief investigator, and participated in multiple research activities.
