In2science Industry Schools Partnerships Forum
Event Information
Description
Earlier this year, Australia's Chief Scientist released Optimising STEM Industry-School Partnerships: Inspiring Australia's Next Generation - a report outlining the importance of meaningful, structured programs that engage secondary school students with STEM industry. Connecting industries reliant on STEM skills with secondary schools is one way to support young people to view STEM-based careers as important, rewarding and filled with opportunity.
To discuss these ideas, In2science is excited to announce a forum to explore goals and best practice for potential collaborations between STEM industry and schools. The In2science Industry Schools Partnerships Forum is an opportunity to hear from industry professionals, STEM educators and others about industry-partnered programs.
Our keynote speaker for the evening is Sally-Ann Williams, Engineering Community and Outreach Manager at Google.
