GLOBAL CITIZEN WORKSHOP
In this workshop, Rita will share her personal story, from tough immigrant childhood in country Victoria to global citizen who has travelled extensively over the past 40 years.

Living and working in five vastly different countries, visiting many others, meeting people and experiencing cultures
through literature, food, music and work. As an Anthropology and International Relations graduate Rita has enjoyed
a varied and interesting career including as Executive Officer for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, providing policy advice and leadership to teams based at Australia’s embassies and consulates
overseas and as Office Manager for Societe Generale , a French Investment Bank based in New York.
In Rita’s workshop you will learn about the successes, failures, skills and experiences that have shaped Rita’s values and how you can apply these lessons to your own life and career.

You will learn about:

What makes a global citizen and how can you become one
Other’ cultures, how to look beyond the binary us and them and look outwards.
Explore the many ways of experiencing culture and learning about the world.
Flexibility and transferable skills are key to being adaptable and employable in the global sphere.
Gig economy.
