Description

Dress for Success Sydney invites you to our next In Conversation event, Game Changers.

On Wednesday 20th of September, Dress for Success Sydney is holding a public panel discussion hosted by Geraldine Doogue, renowned Australian journalist and broadcaster with the ABC. Join us to learn about three outstanding Indigenous Female Leaders and their life journey to a successful career.

The three confirmed participants are:

  • June Oscar:
Incoming Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner.
June has dedicated her career to improving the health and welfare of Indigenous people, particularly those living in remote areas.

  • Dr. Jackie Huggins:
    Former Co-Chair of Reconciliation Australia.
Former Co-Chair of Queensland Domestic Violence Council and the AIATSIS Council.
Co-Commissioner for Queensland for the Inquiry into the Separation of Aboriginal Children.
Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

  • Antoinette Braybrook:
CEO for 15 years of the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service in Victoria.
National convener of the National Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service, which comprises 14 organisations that provide specialist and culturally-safe legal services and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander victims and survivors of family violence across Australia.

These three proud indigenous women of great achievement are just as happy when out in the bush in their own country as they are in the board rooms of Sydney and corridors of power in Canberra. But how did they get to where they are now? What were their life journeys? And what is it that has imbued all three with such determination and such a palpable sense of mission to serve their communities? These are some of the personal questions that will be answered during the panel discussion led by Geraldine Doogue.

Join us for an evening of inspiration at the breath-taking venue of MinterEllison, the generous sponsors for this event. Drinks and canapés will be provided, as well as a room full of like-minded and inspiring people.

We look forward to seeing you and your guests during this opportunity to take a stand in support of all women.

Your support is vital to giving thousands of women in Australia the confidence to get back on their feet and into the workforce.

**All proceeds go to Dress for Success Sydney.**
