To maximise our herd fertility we want to expose you to various management options prior to joining. We shall discuss multiple factors that may limit fertility such as heifer selection, nutrition, disease control, trace mineral investigations, parasitology, bull fertility and joining management. The aim is to encourage us to be more proactive prior to joining to enhance herd fertility with special attention applied to heifers.

Liz has been a cattle vet for nearly 20 years, working both in Australia and New Zealand, and is currently Field Services Veterinarian for Boehringer Ingelheim Australia. She is a member of the Australasian College of Veterinary Scientists in both Cattle Medicine and Ruminant Nutrition and is currently completing her Masters in Veterinary Medicine through Massey University. Liz’s interests include improving profitability through health management and in particular reproduction and trace mineral nutrition.
