Where success STEMs from: Women in Technology
Join us at our next Importance of Women in IT breakfast to hear from three IT executive women from Newcrest Mining Limited.

Emma Bartleet, Suzanne Boothey and Vimona Kaur all started from different fields and backgrounds and are now currently ICT execs at Newcrest Mining.

Warrie Holman, an IT Mentor, will moderate the panel and will take us through their journeys and highlight the key strengths and challenges each one of them has faced.

Meet the speakers

Emma Bartleet: As the SAP and IT Training Manager at Newcrest Mining Limited, Emma leads a diverse team in the support and delivery of SAP major projects across our sites delivering business improvements, simplifying
processes and focusing on innovative solutions that deliver business benefits and improve productivity. Emma has spent 25 years of her career in leadership roles including delivery, project and program manager roles across the telecommunications and mining industries, whilst having a family and maintaining a work-life balance. She believes people are the key to business success and has a passion for people management. Two of her proudest achievements include being awarded IBM Australia New Zealand (ANZ) Top 25 for Excellence in People Management and receiving a global SAP Innovation Award (Process Innovator) in recognition of her team delivering mobile solutions that drive productivity and safety improvements at Newcrest.

Suzanne Boothey: As manager of IT & Digital Strategy, Governance and Innovation, Suzanne, leads a dynamic team who play a critical role in the creation and execution of digital transformation for Newcrest Mining. Suzanne has held positions in business development, strategy, business planning and governance for top ASX listed companies. She enjoys empowering and motivating teams and is a big believer in creating a positive enjoyable workplace,celebrating success and engendering a positive, diverse and inclusive team culture. Her ongoing challenges include ensuring innovation is always at the forefront, raising two teenage sons and staying on top of the washing.

Vimona Kaur: Vimona has been in the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) field for over 18 years in various leadership roles across infrastructure, applications, ERP, managed services and outsourcing. Vimona’s
exposure to complex global projects has spanned people (leading teams, organisational restructures), process
(outsourcing, business process reengineering) and systems (multimillion cross border implementations and upgrades) - directly impacting up to 30,000 people. Vimona has a diverse skill set including one-part IT Manager, one-part geek, one-part entrepreneur, one-part cyber warrior and two-parts mum!!

Warrie Holman: After more than 20 years in the IT industry, working for some of the biggest and most recognised
brands in the world, Warrie made the decision to step out on his own. In 2019 he founded Warrie Holman &
Associates with the mission to provide a unique coaching and mentoring service to help develop the next generation of leaders in the IT industry. Leveraging over two decades of experience, a formal qualification in coaching and behavioural profiling he helps organisations train, retain and develop top talent. His unorthodox and varied life experiences provide the right foundation for delivering a service with fresh thinking and compassion.
