Event description

Description

Centre for Social Impact (CSI) and Arjaway warmly invite you to the Impact Lab 'Land' session. This session is part of the CSI's 2017 Social Impact Festival (socialimpactfestival.org).

About the Impact Lab Session:
In this session we come together to see and learn together to provide insights into how we can create sustained, deep change. Complex and wicked problems cannot be solved overnight or with a ‘silver bullet’. Instead, we need an entire ecosystem of effective solutions and the time to develop them. Facilitators lead participants through a bespoke design process, taking them through a journey of observing, empathising, sense-making, and insight generation. Key models, research, and stories are presented to the invited stakeholders before they engage in this highly participatory experience to address WA’s most pressing challenges.

This session focusses on our relationship to land and that landscapes that we walk, work and live on and in. It's an exploration of many themes including our; cultural connection to land and how healing is a central part of that; the future we are creating through our sculpting and tending of our soil and food systems; regenerative landscapes that have a social, environmental, financial and inspirational return on investment to the land and the people living there.

Everyday we are walking and living on this land and it's time we came together to think about how we want to work with it in a way that brings health to our future generations.

These sessions are just one touch point in a much longer program of work by the Centre for Social Impact UWA’s Impact Lab. The three sessions will focus on the themes of Home, Land, and Place respectively. And is part of Arjaway's vision for cultural connection through healing.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the event for registration.
