Description

YOU ARE INVITED

The Industry Mentoring Network in STEM (IMNIS) has hit a major milestone! This is the first year all IMNIS programs are on offer in every state around Australia. To celebrate, we invite you to the National Launch of this prestigious award-winning initiative of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE).

ATSE President, Professor Hugh Bradlow FTSE and IMNIS Executive Director, Dr Marguerite Evans-Galea, look forward to welcoming you to this event. Join leadership and executives from Australia's top Universities and STEM Industries, IMNIS Partners, Sponsors and Supporters, as well as mentors and mentees as we take this flagship initiative 'to the next level'.

IMNIS fosters a transformational culture-shift across the broader STEM ecosystem through mentoring. The goal is to develop a new generation of industry-savvy PhD graduates who can engage with industry, kick-start collaborations, understand their career options, network and transition with confidence across professional sectors.

CCRM Australia has also partnered with IMNIS to develop a novel International Mentoring Program in Regenerative Medicine which pilots for the first time this year. This pilot includes a CCRM Australia-IMNIS Travel Award for mentees to attend an international conference to meet their industry mentor. CCRM Australia has selected five outstanding PhD students to participate.

IMNIS will be officially launched by Innovation and Science Australia Board Member and Executive Director, QUT Institute for Future Environments, Professor Bronwyn Harch FTSE. We will also hear from Sue MacLeman, Alexandra Atkins, Nazanin Nourifard, Martin Elhay and Niveditha Vathsangam.

Breakfast will be served Tuesday, 15th May at 7:30 am at KPMG Australia in Melbourne. The event will conclude at 9:30 am. We will have a professional photographer on-site, so you will have the opportunity to get some shots taken with our speakers and your colleagues. For catering purposes, please RSVP by registering as soon as possible. Please indicate if you have any dietary requirements.

ATSE gratefully acknowledges funding and tremendous support for IMNIS from the industry growth centres MTPConnect, METS Ignited and NERA, consortium partners AusBiotech and Mentorloop, as well as sponsors CSL, KPMG and Bellberry. IMNIS thanks all of our member organisations, partners, sponsors and supporters for their collaboration and support. These organisations demonstrate visionary leadership in developing Australia's next generation of STEM leaders.
