Description

This meeting will give you an opportunity to hear more about heat health impacts and the relationship this has with climate change adaptation and the building of community resilience.

Presentations will give attendees an understanding of the following:

  • What work is currently happening around heat related health impacts
  • A high level strategic policy and planning perspective from state government
  • What role different organisations play in planning for heat health impacts
  • An understanding of how to plan for heat health impacts
  • What are the opportunities to partner on adaptation projects (on heat related health impacts as well as more generally)

Guest speakers include:

  • Craig Lapsley, Emergency Management Commissioner, EMV
  • Justin Dunlop, Acting Director Emergency Management, Ambulance Victoria
  • Daniela Failla, Health and Wellbeing, City of Melbourne
  • Tara Prowse, Arts House, City of Melbourne
