Event description

Description

Meaningful Ageing Peer Support Networks are convened under the auspices of Meaningful Ageing Australia.

Their purpose is to offer aged care staff and volunteers who are focussed on spiritual and/or pastoral care from member organisations opportunities to meet regularly for mutual support and learning around issues relevant to the ongoing development of quality spiritual and pastoral care within the aged care sector.

Group members engage in discussion, setting their own agenda.

Discussion questions might include the following:

  • What are the various challenges of the role we face and how are we meeting these challenges?

  • What ideas about innovation and best practice in the field of spiritual and pastoral care of older persons can we share?

  • What stories of meaningful connections in the field of spiritual and pastoral care of older persons can we share?

  • What have we discovered about our shared vision for spiritual and pastoral care of older persons?

  • What helpful resources and education are we aware of / looking for?

Thanks to Shiva Gopalan for hosting this third meeting in the Illawarra region. He can be contacted on (02) 4256 7829.
