Description

You are warmly invited to attend the IFITT Talk Workshop on

"New Technologies and Innovation in Tourism".

New technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data analytics transform and disrupt tourism. Robotics and augmented reality influence tourism experiences and have tremendous implications on the tourism workforce. Tourism firms and destinations have more access to data than ever before; but are they ready to convert data to business value? Tourism destinations and firms need to continuously update and upgrade their technological capabilities and practices.

This workshop is designed to provide you with the latest technological advances and research in the tourism industry. Case studies will be presented and innovative technological practices will be discussed. The workshop is useful and will provide numerous practical implications for tourism firms and destination management organisations alike. Participants will benefit by listening and networking with international experts as well as by staying in tune with the dynamically changing digital advances and disruptions.

The workshop features:

  • Six presentations from internationally recognised academics and industry professionals, all experts in their field.

  • A discussion panel with leading experts expounding on technology and the tourism industry.

Do not miss the opportunity to access and discuss knowledge and experiences with the prominent speakers of this IFITT Talk workshop.

Participation in the workshop is FREE, but registration is required for planning purposes.
