If only buildings could talk - Heritage Festival 2017
Wed. 17 May 2017, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm AEST
Many of Sydney’s 1850s buildings still stand. Built from local mud and laboured into bricks with quarried local sandstone, they certainly were built to last. These much-admired buildings have survived wars, depression, floods and architectural fashions. Respected author, publisher and historian Ron Ringer takes us on an imaginary historic exploration of what these buildings would have to say, if only they could talk. Alone and once silent, until now! Not to be missed.
