Join us in this event featuring a panel of people of faith, faith leaders and experts to explore the intersections of faith and sexual and gender diversity.
From a base of human diginity and respect, the panel will explore the themes below:
- How can religious individuals and communities retain faith and embrace sexual and gender diversity?
- Can faith communities play a role in promoting the inclusion and stamping out discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) people?
- Can the principles of inter-culturalism extend to LGBTIQ communities?

Panel of Speakers:
- Luke Gahan (Researcher, La Trobe University and Editor of the book Heaven Bent: Australian lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex experiences of faith, religion and spirituality)
- Sally Goldner (Executive Director Transgender Victoria, and member of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria GLBT reference group)
- Rev. Peter Batten (Uniting Church Northcote)
- Pastor Becky Bauer (Acts2Faith Church, Northcote and member of Darebin SSGD Advisory Committee)
