Microsoft ICT Peer Coaching Training Accreditation Overview:

Recent studies by educational leaders suggest the benefits of schools having an explicit focus on building teacher capacity through reflective practices, has the greatest impact on classroom performance. We also know that teacher quality has the greatest impact on student performance and outcomes. ICT Peer Coaching is an internationally recognised Microsoft course that accredits participants with a Microsoft, Peer Ed & Collective Education Australia ICT Peer Coaching Facilitator certification to support teachers within their school with the integration of ICT into their teaching practice.

Through this three day face-to-face workshop, teachers and leaders will explore the Peer Coaching methodologies and protocols that can be applied across all teaching and learning areas. Participants will spend time exploring technical pedagogy frameworks and equipped with resources to successfully implement a coaching program back at school. Upon completion of this program, participants will also be equipped with the skills, knowledge and resources to train other educators back at school to become ICT Peer Coaches.

Pre-course webinar for Principal or Assistant Principal

To ensure the success for each participating ICT Peer Coach, a Principal or Assistant Principal is required to participate in a 1 hour online pre-course webinar. The pre-course webinar will outline course qualification and provide important information about how the ICT Peer Coaches will need to be supported when back at school.

This course is suitable for Victorian Government Primary and Secondary school educators and leaders.

All participants must come prepared with their own fully charged laptop. To get the most out of the resources provided through this workshop we recommend ensuring a recent version of with Microsoft OneNote (part of Office or 2016) is installed on your laptop.

Presenter: Trent Ray, Microsoft Learning Consultant (Collective Education Australia) has worked as both a Primary and Secondary School teacher, whilst specialising in technology for learning. As a Curriculum Innovation Leader and Technology Ambassador, Trent's background in Peer Coaching and 21st Century Learning Design has seen him travel the nation to supports schools, leaders and teachers when planning to integrate technology into the classroom. Trent is also available to work individually with schools to support the implementation of coaching as a school wide professional learning mythology.
