Ice Blast is a 6-week fun filled 'Come-and-Try' Ice Hockey Program for all potential players (male and female) aged 4-12 years of age who are welcome regardless of whether or not they have skated before.
Ice Blast is about giving kids (and their parents) a chance to experience the fast and fun game of Ice Hockey, we can't teach your child to be a hockey player in 6 weeks but we can give you everything you need to decide if this is a sport for you.
WHEN IS IT?
Starting Thursday 10th November at 5:30pm, it runs for an hour each Thursday until 15th December 2016.
The program is run at the Ice Arena, Thebarton
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Participants will be supplied with a full kit of protective equipment, including skates. You must supply your own mouth guard. Dress kids in light tracksuit pants or skins and a light longsleeve top and thin socks for on the ice under their Hockey Gear.
WHAT DOES IT COST?
The Ice Blast Program costs $90 (excluding transaction fee) upon registration, which includes use of full hockey protective gear (excluding mouthguard), skates, jersey and socks (cleaned after each session).

Ice Blast Programme Overview
Thinking about signing up for Ice Blast, well here is a basic overview of what goes on during the 6 sessions:
Week 1 - how to dress, up on skates, trusting the gear exercises, basic balance and skating.
Week 2 - 1/2 hour basic skating drills, stopping, edgework and exercises, 1/2 hour games
Week 3 - 1/2 hour basic passing and shooting exercises, 1/2 hour games
Week 4 - 1/2 hour basic puck carrying exercises, 1/2 hour games
Week 5 - 1/2 hour basic goalie experience (1on1 while basic drills go on), 1/2 hour games
Week 6 - 1/3 hour skill summary, 1/3 hour obstacle course, 1/3 hour Ice Hockey Game followed by certificate presentation
