About this event

This presentation will showcase local research in General Practice on how GPs are using iCBT, what difficulties they experience, questions and concerns GPs have about recommending it to their patients. Dr Jessica Yip, a GP in Armidale, will present the research she did in 2020 on this topic.

Dr Michael Millard, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director at the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) will discuss "This Way Up", an internet CBT service. The presentation will cover the effectiveness of iCBT, which patients may be appropriate for iCBT and how to blend iCBT with face to face or telehealth consults.

The meeting is presented by the New England GP Research Network, a group of New England based GPs interested in how local research can help improve patient outcomes.
