Sharing effective teaching practice including active engagement strategies
This may cover a range of learning areas, topics and ideas including some movement strategies. Come along to learn, share & network. You can give a 2, 5 or 7 minute presentation or just be part of the audience!
What is a TeachMeet?
This TeachMeet is an organised, informal, FREE, fun and dynamic event for teachers to share successful teaching and engagement strategies they have used in the last year in 2, 5 or 7 minute presentations. The DET DDSW Region’s iAIM Team is organising the event so some strategies will include a movement/physical activity theme!
Event cost: FREE
Food & drink: Finger food platters. Tea & coffee provided. Participants can purchase items from the bar also.
Be a presenter!
You are invited to be a presenter at the TeachMeet! Ideally any teacher (beginning or experienced) who is happy to share a teaching strategy that they have had success with in the last year can get involved. Presentations can be 2, 5 or 7 minutes in length and can be any format e.g. a PowerPoints, a Prezi, a demonstration, a hands-on activity or another innovative presentation style. Presenters will need to nominate to present by Friday 28 October by contacting iAIM RPO Jocelyn Elliott (Email: email@example.com; Mobile: 0455 064 803).
Gift of thanks: Presenters will receive an iAIM polo shirt and HART Sport or World of Sport play item to acknowledge their efforts to step up and share with others!
Program: A program of presenters will be emailed to all registered participants prior to the TeachMeet.
Audience: Audience members from Primary and Secondary Schools – State, Catholic, and Independent – or other education settings in Charleville and surrounds are welcome to participate in presentations and discuss ideas with their colleagues at the TeachMeet. Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation including time (2.5 hours) that this unique professional learning experience can contribute towards continuing professional development.
Door prizes: All participants will go in the draw to win one of five HART Sport packs valued at over $80 each.
