About this Event

The object of this workshop is to give attendees a basic grounding in the use and application of the computer program HYENA so that they can on completion of the workshop, perform basic hydraulic analysis of sprinkler and hydrant piping systems and thereby provide them with the skills to build on this with subsequent practical experience with the program. The workshop is structured in such a way as to lead attendees progressively through the input of the piping layout including the input point (s), discharges (sprinklers, hydrants, etc.) the entry of all of the parameters associated with these items and the calculations. Attendees are also lead through the results, learning the means by which these can be reviewed and evaluated.
