When fingerprints are found at a crime scene, how are they analysed? Thanks to popular TV crime shows you might assume that this job sits with a computer – but in reality, human fingerprint experts have been analysing suspect and crime scene fingerprints for more than 100 years.
Cognitive Scientist, Dr Matthew Thompson, will discuss his research into the previously unexplored world of fingerprint expertise.
Dr Thompson is Lecturer in Cognition at Murdoch, and previously a Fulbright Scholar at UCLA and Fellow at Harvard Medical School.
Tickets for this lecture are free, but please RSVP to secure your place.
