Event description

Description

An annual event, the HSC and Education Forum aims to provide library staff with up-to-date information about key developments in school curricula planning so that libraries can best support students with access to relevant resources.

The 2018 Forum includes a focus on English and History, two subjects which are undergoing major syllabus changes. It will also include an overview of the Industrial Technology syllabus and useful resources. A representative from Cambridge University Press will provide information about their current book and digital-based publications, with an emphasis on Stage 6 (senior year) resources. In addition, the Director of Digital Strategies and Services from the NSW Educational Standard Authority (formerly the NSW Board of Studies) will outline the role and reach of the NESA website and its educational resource-based partner websites, as well as providing information about current trends in the HSC. Audience members will be invited to share ideas and experiences in the final session of the day.
