This is a 6-hour online workshop presented to you by our experienced tutor Sophia Joo to help you prepare for your upcoming HSC Advanced English exam. The workshop is divided into 2 x 3 hour sessions with each session focusing on different aspects that are important to HSC English. The goal is to outline the key aspects of HSC English modules and teach you the key elements to help you achieve the maximum marks for each module.

Sessions Outline:

The workshop is 6 hours in total and is divided into 2 x 3 hour sessions.

Session 1: Modules

This session will focus on the 3 modules of the Advanced HSC English course. It will cover:

The key syllabus focus areas for each module.

The assessment criterias and how to maximise your marks for each module.

Discussion of a question for each module and how to write an effective plan for your essay.

Deconstructing a full mark essay for each module.

Session 2: Essay, Creative Writing and Exam Preparation

Students are expected to send through one essay and creative piece prior to the session so Sophia can provide feedback (email to info@siriuslearning.com.au with title Year 12 July Workshop).

Sophia will go through common problems with essays and creative pieces and run through techniques and tips to improve your writing.

Sophia will discuss effective exam preparation techniques to help prepare for your HSC exam.
