If you are new to Australia it's likely that you won't know how the voting system works here. Or perhaps you'd just like a refresher about the election process?

This session aims to demystify the process and simplify it as much as possible, so that you feel confident and safe when it comes to making sure your vote counts in the up and coming election.

Community Education Officers from the Electoral Education Centre will be providing information on the basic election principles. They will also run a 'mock' election to show how to fill out ballot papers, how to use the ballot box and to help you understand how preferential voting works.
