Event description
This workshop provides graduates with a head start in learning what clients’ value and how to best meet their needs in private practice.

About this Event

Hear from industry experts as they share concepts they wish they knew as a new graduate.

Learn how to effectively translate your undergraduate knowledge into the industry context of a private physiotherapy practice.

Learning and developing these skills early on ensures you will be a preferred candidate when entering the private workforce and will give you greater professional satisfaction as a physiotherapist.

What you will learn:

  • Distinguish between the mindset of public versus private physiotherapist.
  • Identify mini-moments pre-purchase of your clients in terms of needs, wishes, feelings and personal goals.
  • Learn how to read your client and build rapport with them quickly to establish a good therapeutic relationship and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Establish trust between the client and treating physiotherapist so there is an understanding of the value of the treatment and alignment of goals and expectations.
  • Learn how to manage your customer’s expectations to ensure that the treatment plan is fit for purpose and will produce the expected and intended outcomes.
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of your treatment plan to a patient using PROs.
  • Apply a holistic approach to therapeutic outcomes to promote the adoption of healthier habits and greater health awareness including cross-selling of products and services.
  • Be a brand ambassador for the business but also for the larger physiotherapy and allied health community.

This workshop includes afternoon tea and post-workshop networking drinks.
