Event description
What power do we hold? And how do we play with power? Explore understandings of power relations through the instinctive nature of play.

About this Event

When we play, we are instinctive beings. In this state, we can explore human dynamics. In the workshop, How To 'Play' With Power, we will unpack the different forms of power in contemporary workplaces and how we navigate power in relationship. And through play, we will have fun.

Elephant In Our Room is offering this series of short 'how to' workshops to introduce various approaches to workplace conflict transformation. These monthly Sunday workshops are accessible and inter-disciplinary, providing 'tastes' of the creative methodology employed by Elephant In Our Room.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Identify different forms of power in contemporary workplaces
  • Navigate power relations and hierarchy in workplaces
  • Understand power through interactive play-based activities
  • Examine the relationships between ‘power within us’ and ‘power with others’ in workplaces

The workshop session will involve:

  • Participatory process
  • Interactive activities
  • Small group discussion
  • Reflection

The session will include a short break for refreshments.
