About the Series:
The road to self-regulation in the classroom
Self-regulation is the ability to understand and manage your own behaviour and reactions. This is influenced by our social, physical, cognitive, and emotional regulation and is continually developed over the lifespan. Learning to regulate and respond to situations in a way the child would like, can be particularly challenging for some. As teachers and support staff, you play an important role in paving a road that leads a child towards self-regulation.
This series aims to break down self-regulation so that educators can feel confident proactively responding to behaviours whilst supporting skill development. Each webinar focuses on one of the domains that can influence how well a child is able to manage the demands of school. The series will follow the same case study to demonstrate how different strategies can come together to support a child’s goal/s.
Early bird tickets to future webinars will be released to members of our Facebook group: Enhancing Inclusive Classrooms. Open to any professionals interested in collaborating to optimise inclusion in schools. https://www.facebook.com/groups/694838228494673/?ref=share
