Having headed the Gold Coast-based Regional office for the past thirteen years, Rowena has been heavily involved in the Sthn QLD and Nthn NSW business communities and has assisted numerous businesses through AusIndustry's diverse suite of business assistance programs.

Rowena brings to the role many years of business development, account management, and trade facilitation experience across a wide range of industries and disciplines in both Australia and internationally. With postgraduate and undergraduate tertiary qualifications in Accountancy, Business Law & Taxation, Rowena has previously worked with the Qld Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI/Commerce Qld) in Brisbane; the Maltese-Australian Chamber of Commerce abroad; and within the property development and telecommunications industries in Australia.

Rowena's charter at AusIndustry is to ensure that the entrepreneurial spirit of innovative companies is given an environment in which it has the greatest potential to soar, and she plays an integral part in facilitating such growth in the region.

Ms Estella Rodighiero

Director of Regional Development

Regional Development Australia- Gold Coast

Estella brings more than 20 years’ experience as an economic development facilitator and business professional to her role as Director of Regional Development. A strategic thinker and expert negotiator, she has high-level expertise in building collaborative relationships between government, community and business stakeholders, developing and executing international trade missions, strategic planning and policy development, project management, analysis and regional marketing.

She has designed, implemented and achieved multi-million dollar project and growth outcomes for the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Cairns regions, and most recently was Senior Economic Development Officer for the City of Gold Coast. Here she oversaw projects under the Trade 2018 program for the Commonwealth Games, developing inbound and outbound trade missions, hosting international business leaders and government delegations, and showcasing Queensland industries and investment opportunities with events and forums.

Estella is also an accomplished and sought after public speaker and business lecturer, both in Australia and South East Asia, with a Masters of Professional Studies from the University of Southern Queensland.

Dr Jeremy Novak

Course Coordinator/Senior Lecturer - Master of Engineering Management/MBA double degree.

Southern Cross University

Jeremy has worked in the critical infrastructure and asset management sector for 30 years, both from a management and a technical perspective and has worked as a civilian to the Australian defence force and other Government agencies. His PhD research focused on how these organisations can reduce their risk, by engineering or building resilience capabilities which can assist in making these organisations more sustainable and extending the life cycle of the organisation.

Ms Jo Cochran (MBA – Southern Cross University)

Manager Economic Development

Regional Economic Development – SEQ South

Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning

Jo Cochran is Manager Economic Development within the regional SEQ South office for the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning. Jo has a wealth of professional experience working in a range of regional economic development roles including with the City of Gold Coast’s Economic Development and Major Projects Directorate and the rapidly developing Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. Jo and her team within the SEQ South regional office provide information to regional businesses regarding available government assistance and support to develop their growth plans.
