Course Outline

How to Implement Aboriginal Perspectives has been designed to equip educators with understanding:

  • Why: Who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander people? Why do we need to embed culture content into our classrooms? How does closing the Gap relate to my classroom?

  • How: What does this look like? How to be culturally appropriate in your region. Addressing and understanding the barriers for the students, teacher, parent and management.

  • Implementing strategies: What is a reliable and valid resource? Explore the cultural revivals sweeping the nation. Addressing outcomes

The session will encourage most educators to have a go at implementing Aboriginal perspectives.
