Event description
The arts allow us to imagine new realities. Discover how to use the Image Theatre technique to explore change.

About this Event

Change is a constant, whether evolutionary or manufactured. When we imagine change, we are often seeking ways to realise a perceived ideal. The How To 'Imagine' Change workshop enables a process of transformative dialogue through the dynamic Image Theatre technique, as we use 'image' to 'imagine'.

Elephant In Our Room is offering this series of short 'how to' workshops to introduce various approaches to workplace conflict transformation. These monthly Sunday workshops are accessible and inter-disciplinary, providing 'tastes' of the creative methodology employed by Elephant In Our Room.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore our creative instincts and imaginative capacities through embodied image
  • Examine the meanings of ‘change’ through a conflict transformation lens
  • Learn how to apply the Image Theatre technique as a dialogic conflict transformation technique
  • Reflect on the process of imagining change through stepping out of the self

The workshop session will involve:

  • Participatory process
  • Interactive activities
  • Small group discussion
  • Reflection

The session will include a short break for refreshments.
