Brene Brown's research has found that humans experience 87 different emotions but can only describe on average 3 of them: happy, sad, and mad. Isn't that wild!
Most of us were never taught how to understand what we feel or how to articulate and communicate those feelings and as a result, most of us have gone through life disconnected from our true self, causing hurt to ourselves and others.
Maybe you want to understand yourself better, maybe you want to understand emotions so you can be a better parent, friend or leader. Whatever your reason, spending time learning about what it means to be human is time well spent.
In our 3-hour workshop we will teach you the difference between thoughts, feelings, and emotions and how they play a major role in our everyday life.
You will be provided with tools and techniques to interrogate your thoughts, feel your feelings and understand your emotions.
You will be emailed a copy of our Grow Journal, which contains information, resources and activities you can complete in your own time.
The workshop will be facilitated by Social Worker Kate Rizzo; who has a background in Psychology and over 8 years of experience facilitating Emotional Intelligence workshops.
