Join vaccine experts from the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in an online training session where you will be guided through four modules to assist you in building confidence in COVID-19 vaccines with your friends and family.

Modules will cover:

  • COVID-19 vaccine overview including how vaccines are developed and the approval process for all vaccines in Australia
  • Strategies for empowering vaccine champions and building trust
  • Discussing COVID-19 vaccines with people who have questions or who may have concerns about the COVID-19 vaccine
  • When and how to respond to vaccine misinformation

Training modules in this webinar are developed by A/Prof Margie Danchin and Dr Jessica Kaufman, along with other experts from the Collaboration on Social Science and Immunisation (COSSI), and are delivered in partnership with the Victorian Department of Health

Speakers

Associate Professor Margie Danchin is Group Leader, Vaccine acceptance, Uptake and Policy, at MCRI, and is an immunisation expert with over ten years of experience in vaccine research and clinical work, both in Australia and in resource poor settings.

Dr Jessica Kaufman is research fellow in the Vaccine Acceptance, Uptake and Policy Research Team at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Jessica is an editor and author with the Cochrane Consumers and Communication review group, which publishes systematic reviews on health communication and participation interventions.
