Description

Are you a casual teacher?

Has your agency asked if you would like to teach in special education settings, but you're not confident in saying 'yes'?

Would you like to try and casually teach in special education settings but want to know what to expect and how to prepare?

This professional development webinar session, 'How to be a Casual Teacher in Special Ed Settings' is designed to answer those questions for you. It is approximately a 1 hour presentation with time for questions and answers at the end (15 mins). At the end of the webinar, you will have tips and tricks to make it through your day, what to do, (but more importantly) what NOT to do, how to dress, recommended resources and more! It is designed to be practical with lots of ideas you can implement and use straight away.

This PD is presented by Christina Keeble of Special Education Mum. She has worked in special ed since 2002 and in the past year has gone through the experience of having both of her young children diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. Let Christina's knowledge and experiences help you decide if special education is the right setting for you.

This presentation meets the new requirements for professional development in special education topics, that all Victorian teachers are required to maintain registration through the Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT).

If required, a certificate of completion referencing the VITs standards is provided along with a reflection sheet referencing the standards which can be filled out and used for documentation.
